As laughter is the best remedy, here are my favourite translation-related YouTube videos. I had intended to put the videos on my blog but could not find out how to put them on, so here goes. All videos are in English. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

1. FIVE THOUSAND WORDS

This is an excellent videoclip posted by a fellow translator (great on the guitar) showing the pressure placed on legal translators, with increasing volumes and ever-tightening deadlines. The end of the video comes as a complete surprise!

2. MY TRANSLATOR HASN’T TURNED UP!

The company was having a summit meeting but the translator didn’t turn up, so a substitute translator stepped in, saying she could translate into seven languages. Roar with laughter as she tries to translate for the dumbstruck executives!

3. LOST IN TRANSLATION - LJUBLJANA AIRPORT

The tourist reads the name of the airport, can’t understand what it says, and thinks he’s in the wrong airport and even in the wrong country! (Warning: The man says the f-word a few times. Do not watch if this would offend)

Como rir é o melhor remédio, aqui apresento os meus vídeos favoritos do YouTube referente à tradução. Tinha pretendido colocá-los no meu blogue, mas não consegui, por isso os apresento aqui. Todos os vídeos são em inglês. Divirta-se, e tenha um bom final de semana!

Este é um videoclipe excelente postado por uma colega tradutora (ótima guitarrista por sinal), mostrando a pressão que se coloca sobre os tradutores da área jurídica, com volumes maiores e prazos menores. O final da estória te surpreenderá!

2. MEU TRADUTOR NÃO APARECEU!

A empresa estava realizando uma reunião de cúpula, mas o tradutor não compareceu. Assim, entrou uma tradutora substituta, dizendo que poderia traduzir para sete idiomas. Morra de rir ao vê-la tenter traduzir para os executivos estupefatos!

3. PERDIDO NA TRADUÇÃO - AEROPORTO DE LJUBLJANA

O turista lê o nome do aeroporto, não sabe o que significa, e acha que está no aeroporto errado, e até mesmo no país errado! (Advertência: O homem usa alguns palavrões. Não veja se isso possa lhe ofender)
